I recently had the pleasure of getting new headshots taken by Craig Hanson. I went to school with Craig, and continue to work with him now that we're both in NYC.
Craig is also an actor, which is why a session with him felt so natural and relaxed. Sometimes getting headshot photos taken can be a stressful experience, being that this one photograph is supposed to encapsulate all of your abilities and range of characters you play so you can get jobs! Also, you better look damn good. Craig takes his time during a session, I never felt rushed or stressed, and MOST importantly, he gives direction in a language that actors can understand!!!! (gasp!)
I'll be posting my favorite shots soon. In the meantime, check out Craig's work:

During the shoot I requested my best friend's presence who happens to be a stylist. (I'm a lucky girl, I know)
Allie O'Connor helped me look my best during the shoot so Craig and I could remain focused on the task at hand. If you're looking for a stylist for a shoot, she's amazing to work with, and brought a lot of additional clothing options for me. Also, she's just hella fun to be around.
